Synopsis
The In Between – Threshold follows Emmy-winning adventurers Jim Bruton and Gary De Moss as they revisit the moment Jim Bruton’s experimental aircraft crashed—a near-death
experience that opened a passage between life and death. Through poetic narration, breathtaking imagery, and intimate conversations with leading voices in near-death research, the film explores what lies beyond the edges of human consciousness and the challenges of integrating such a spiritually transformative experience into normal life. Beginning with Jim’s own near-death experience, we enter a realm he calls the In Between—a dimension suspended between past and future, where destiny and choice
converge. Guided by the teachings of PMH Atwater, Dr. Mary Helen Hensley, and the deeply moving story of Rob and Melanie Gentile and their daughter Maria, who has Furr Syndrome,
the film becomes a tapestry of revelation and healing.
From NASA’s deep-space imagery to the quiet grace of a family’s unconditional love, each frame invites reflection on what it means to live after glimpsing eternity. The film’s rhythm
